Oh Tyra!

This is from the daytime Emmy's this past weekend. I didn't post it sooner, because I had no idea what to say............I still don't. I would love to give some cute, contructive tip on how to fix the little detail which made this awful. But, that little detail is not so little at all. It's more of a complete, all emcompassing flub. Besides looking like a giant bowl of monochromatic oatmeal, she's doing it in a really bad, lace front wig (in an even worse color).

Please don't misunderstand, I LOOOOOOOVVVE me some Tyra "smile with your eyes" Banks! She beautiful, and smart, business savvy and an inspiration to women with "real" bodies. But man if she didn't miss the mark with this one.

Quantities are super limited, so go now. I kinda want two, those are going to make some fly earrings.

A few more morning laughs

This woman is celeb STYLIST, Rachel Zoe! Bwaaaahahahahahahahahahah. You've got to be kidding me............... This print is entirely too large to be used in this quantity on such a tiny chica. She looks like she is being swallowed by a tablecloth and it's scaring me. Anywho, for a quick fix: remove the sleeves on these overpowering frocks. The contrast between the high neckline and bare shoulders would have made the vintage motif look a bit more modern and added a whole lotta sexy to this otherwise homely get up. SWEET!!

AANNNNNNDDDDDDD the ultimate laugh this morning, and quite possibly the comedic climax of my day................ Soulja Boy called Ice T the forefather of his nuts!! LMMFFAO!!!!!!!!!!

For the record, I am "Team T" all the way on this one, but that Soulja Boy is def hilarious.

Liya Kebede, Sessilee Lopez, Jourdan Dunn, and Naomi Campbell are featured on their own cover for July's issue of Vogue Italia. How super dope and long over-due is this?! Steven Meisel, a huge, very influential fashion photographer lays the pages down for us in this issue. Included are Alek Wek, Veronica Webb, Iman, Tyra....old & new faces. You have to buy every issue...how can you not?!?! These will be passed down to my great-grandchildren.

"Jew Hating" T-Shirt

It was brought to my attention that L.A. based streetwear line, Freshjive, has come under fire for a few of their more controversial designs. The design at the center of this controversy is below. The image is of three, armed, Palestinian, child soldiers with a stylized version of the word "victimized" underneath.

I rarely discuss my political views on this blog (catch me in person, and you may get an earful), but I had to put you up on this one. Here's the deal; Any child forced to fight or affected by war(regardless of its' premise), is a victim. This design, is in no way, glorifying their role or belittling the opposition. The message behind this design is the advocacy of peace. As a matter of fact, Freshjive also has a design with the Star of David motif and "Peace in the Middle East" message, is that "Palestinian hating"?

Kudos to Freshjive owner and designer Rick Klotz for designing what and how the fuck he wants. You can read his remarks here. Also, BUY THE SHIRT!! I think Urban Outfitters is stocking it now.
